My research spans the fields of art, economic, and intellectual history, focusing on the history of Western Europe, c. 1300-1800. I am interested in the problems and processes associated with “world making”–e.g. knowledge production and cognition, economic systems and processes, and the formation of systems, forms, and languages of representation.
I hold a Ph.D. in History/History of Science from Princeton University.
